There are always moments when you just need a small audio editor to "tweak" an audio file. But in times of license subscriptions, the usual tool of choice might not be available on the required computer. In such cases, we are not the only ones to fall back on the free Audacity in the portable version, which can be quickly downloaded from the Internet and installed/used almost residue-free.
But for rudimentary tasks it is even easier. With AudioMass there is a free web-based audio and waveform editing tool with full functionality, which runs completely without installation in the browser. Just 65 KB of JavaScript bring amazing audio functionality to the browser that is second to none in a simple waveform editor.
If you want, you can even use the tool without Internet access. To do this, select "Store Offline Version" from the "Help" menu. A local version of the "Website" will then be saved on the desired computer.
