Particle Illusion (formerly also written together) is a plugin and a stand alone platform for creating particle effects. Among other things, fire, smoke, explosions, fireworks or even abstract effects can be simulated. The programme has an eventful past and has existed for over two decades. The predecessor (Illusion 2), which could also be integrated under programs such as Media Studio Pro, was licensed to a third company (Impulse Inc.) about 20 years ago, but the chief programmer Alan Lorence was not pleased with this. He developed a new version 3.0 with a new company Wondertouch. Ultimately, Partikel Illusion ended up at Boris FX, where it can be integrated as a plugin under the usual suspicious editing and compositing applications. (Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, Apple Final Cut Pro X, Blackmagic Resolve, The Foundry Nuke, and Vegas Pro). In the meantime, however, there are numerous free particle simulations available that do not make such effects appear particularly "special". Spontaneously we think of dazzlers or fusion. But we think the great strength of Particle Illusion lies in its specialized interface and the numerous presets that can be adjusted quickly and easily. And from now on also in the price. Because the stand alone version of Particle Illusion is now available free of charge. The practical integration as a plugin into other applications, however, still costs, or is part of the BorisFX packages. The Stand Alone version handles almost all functions of the plugins, only the mocha tracker is not included, which makes it almost impossible to "bind" emmitters to tracked points. And also the function to influence particles by the audio track is missing (Continuum Beat Reactor). Nevertheless, it is still a lot of fun to experiment with the numerous presets in GPU realtime... more infos at bei borisfx.com deutsche Version dieser Seite: BorisFX Particle Illusion Standalone jetzt kostenlos |
