Just teased and now official: RED has unveiled the KOMODO-X, which features an improved Super35 sensor with 6K resolution and global shutter; the sensor architecture has been redesigned. As a result, the camera is said to offer better detail and color reproduction in the shadows, and the available frame rates are also doubled compared to the KOMODO without X (which remains in the lineup). Support for 6K 80P and 4K 120P recording is now included. RED KOMODO-X Despite a largely retained form factor - the camera has only grown about 24mm longer - many features from the DSMC3 line have migrated to the KOMODO-X to enable more professional workflows. For example, a micro V-Lock connector is integrated for power, and the camera is also compatible with the upcoming RED Pro I/O module to provide additional power and compatibility with full-size V-Lock and Gold Mount batteries. Contrary to what was suspected, the integrated touch display has not increased in size, remaining at 2.9". For a more precise preview, KOMODO-X supports the DSMC3 RED Touch 7.0" LCD. In return, as promised, the audio section has been expanded a bit and now includes a phantom-powered LEMO 5-pin connector with locking. KOMODO-X is compatible with the DSMC3 RED 5-pin to single 3.5mm adapter to support existing KOMODO microphones, or the DSMC3 RED 5-pin to dual XLR adapter for general XLR microphones. Other available ports include a 12G SDI, full-size DC-IN, and USB Type-C. A reinforced RF lens port with locking mechanism allows tool-free switching between different lens ports. KOMODO-X is also fully compatible with /i PL lenses using the RED RF to PL adapter. Unlike KOMODO, KOMODO-X records to CFexpress Type B cards. KOMODO-X also fits into IP-based workflows, from virtual production to live broadcast. With built-in USB Type-C connectivity and built-in Wi-Fi, the camera can be remotely controlled with RED Control or RED Control Pro, including IP media offloading with FTPS or in-camera cloud upload functionality (Frame.io and S3). In addition, KOMODO-X supports frame-accurate PTP synchronization and three-stage genlock sensor synchronization with the ability to offset on the fly. RED Connect is also supported for live broadcasting of 6K images directly from the camera over IP. Initial pre-production models (in white) were priced at ,995 and are already sold out. When the production models (in black) will be available and at what price is open. more infos at bei www.red.com deutsche Version dieser Seite: Professionellere RED KOMODO-X vorgestellt mit 6K 80p und Mikro-V-Lock |
