 Silicon Graphics, makers of the formerly famous Gafik workstations, has declared insolvency. Through the competition of cheap and more powerful processors and graphics cards were expensive specialized computer from SGI sidelined, previously the only alternative for the calculation of complex graphics by extremely expensive supercomputers represent.
