Sigma has also introduced a new ultra telephoto zoom lens for sports, action and wildlife photography. The Sigma 300-600mm F4 DG OS Sports offers an impressive F4 lens speed throughout and optical stabilization via the OS HSM algorithm, which compensates for around 5.5 f-stops in the maximum telephoto range (600mm).

The optical construction comprises 28 lenses in 21 groups, including 6 FLD and 1 SLD element, for very high optical performance. The high-speed autofocus works with Sigma's HLA drive (High-Response Linear Actuator), which has already been used several times.
The telephoto zoom has a magnesium alloy body, a thermally insulating paint finish and a range of additional features such as the newly added function ring for enhanced functionality. It is also equipped with a drop-in filter holder (40.5 mm / rear).
The Sigma 300-600 mm F4 DG OS | Sports weighs in at an official 3970 g with a diameter of 167.0 mm and a length of 469.9 mm. The lens will also be available for the L-mount. It will cost 6999 euros and will be available from April.
