The newly introduced, fast portrait focal length Aurora AF 85mm F1.4 FF is Sirui's first full-frame lens with autofocus. It is said to be equally suitable for photo and video; according to the manufacturer, the autofocus should work “almost silently”. Sony E, Nikon Z and Fujifilm X are available as mount options.

With a weight of 540g and dimensions of 80.3mm (D) x 101.7mm (L), the lens has a compact design; the barrel is made of an aluminum alloy. The optical design with 14 elements in 9 groups includes an aspherical lens, 2 ED and 3 HRI lenses. This is intended to minimize chromatic aberrations and stray light.
The close focusing distance is 85cm. An AF lock button can be found on the lens, as well as a “Click ON/OFF” switch, so that the aperture can apparently be unclicked (this feature is not explicitly stated). The diaphragm consists of 15 blades.
The front lens has a fluorine coating (anti-fouling), and the lens is also said to be dust and weather resistant. Its filter thread measures 67mm.
The Sirui Aurora AF 85mm F1.4 FF will regularly cost 649 euros. However, it can currently be pre-ordered at an introductory price of 539 euros; delivery from mid-November).
