Incoming video signals can be converted from SDI to HDMI and vice versa. The Indie 7 processes video signals via SDI or HDMI at up to UltraHD 4K 30fps. LUTs or monitor profiles can be loaded and the firmware updated via an SD card slot. The power comes from an integrated Sony L-battery (2 battery slots are available, so two batteries can be used one after the other for longer operating time), optionally V-Mount or Gold-Mount battery plates can be used. Like the other professional SmallHD preview monitors, the Indie 7 SmallHDs uses Page OS 4, which provides filmmakers with a touchscreen interface and a range of useful features such as Focus Assist, Histogram, Waveforms, Scopes, Pixel Zoom, 3D LUT Overlays and False Color. ![]() SmallHD Indie 7 Back cover More functionality through additional modules The functionality of the Indie 7 can be extended with additional modules, for example to control RED DSMC2 or the new RED Komodo camera.
