SmallRig is also bringing new lights to the IBC in Amsterdam. The RC 100B COB LED video light with 100W is a highly portable newcomer, brighter and slightly larger than the RC 60B light, but with a weight of 700g it is even lighter. According to SmallRig, it is about 20% smaller than comparable 100W lights.
The bi-color lamp is equipped with a V-mount connection as standard (it can be converted to 2x NP-F970 if required, although this involves a loss of power). Alternative power supplies are available via USB-C and DC power supply unit.
SmallRig RC 100B COB with V-Mount
SmallRig specifies an illuminance of 4,610 lux at 1m (5600K) or 20,100 lux at 1m with 45° mini-reflector. The CRI value is 97+, TLCI 98+. The color temperature ranges from 2700 K - 6500 K.
The RC 100B has a relatively quiet cooling system and can be operated in different modes - according to SmallRig, 0dB can be heard in silent mode at 20% power, while the level rises to 26dB at full power.
It can be operated either directly on the housing via controls, remotely via the SmallGoGo app or wired via seamless integration with DMX accessories. It supports 12 lighting effects and quick access to 4 presets.
Price and availability
The RC 100B COB light is available in two versions, the standard version for use on light stands and the like (€267.90) and the standard version for use on a lighting rig (€267.90). (267.90 euros) and one with a handle for mobile use for 232.90 euros. It appears to be available immediately.

Coming soon: RC 220B Pro COB light
SmallRig is also giving a preview of a new RC 220B Pro COB light - it is based on the already available RC 220, but will support different power options and have a modular design.
