Those who film with the Steadicam or a Gimbal and have to change from High Mode to Low Mode or vice versa often know the problem: the Preview Monitor is then in the wrong place and is no longer usable without a realignment - in addition, the Gimbal/Steadicam would have to be rebalanced. ;) SmartCAM Horizon Monitor Stabilizer
The SmartCAM Horizon from the Italian manufacturer SmartSystem solves this problem elegantly by always keeping the monitor in the horizontal plane by means of its own gimbal - cables do not obstruct the view when quickly changing the camera and monitor position. The counterweights for horizontal and vertical balancing of the monitor - 4 x 100g are available - can be clamped without tools. SmartCAM Horizon is compatible with a range of professional monitors ranging in size from 5" to 9". ;) SmartCAM Horizon in High Mode and Low Mode It is placed in the place of the Steadicam- or Gimbal-Setup, which would also be intended for a normal monitor. The system itself is extremely stable and weighs 850 grams (without the counterweights) - it is available now and costs 1649 Euros.
