Sony has introduced a new simple remote control called RMT-P1BT that allows you to control important functions of the Sony Alpha 6400, A7III, A7RIII and A9 cameras. It is connected to the camera via Bluetooth and has a response time of only 0.05 seconds.
It can be used to control both focus and zoom (optical and digital), as well as to trigger shooting and switch between photo and movie mode. The special C1 button can be freely assigned functions via the camera. Thanks to its weatherproof housing, the remote control can also be used outdoors under adverse weather conditions.
The Sony RMT-P1BT costs around 75 euros and will be available from April - in the future, more Sony cameras will be controllable with it, which will then also have Bluetooth as previously compatible models (and unlike older ones).
