We have already reported many times on slashCAM about the Sony Burano, which is due in early 2024 - and now a whole range of accessories for Sony&s new high-end documentary camera is already emerging. ARRI, Chrosziel, Vocas, Wooden Camera, Zacuto and more have already presented or at least announced accessories for the Sony Burano.
Here is a small selection of accessories including the most interesting functions in our opinion. Prices and further information can be found on the linked manufacturer pages.
ARRI
Arri divides its Burano sets - as known from other cameras - into Cine and Broadcast or Pro and Basic.
The Arri Burano sets are based on the K2.0043726 basic plate known from the Venice I/II. New ARRI Burano accessories include the side brackets for the Burano, which are now also available as Nato rails.

Chrosziel
Chrosziel also uses the familiar cine bridgeplates and LWS from the Sony Venice I and II as the basis for its Burano accessories.
Side brackets are a new addition. A unique feature of the Chrosziel accessories are the mount adapters such as the Meta-Mount, which adapts E to PL and offers a 12 pin Hirose for servo drives.

Vocas
Vocas currently offers a side and top plate for the Sony Burano.
The Universal Baseplate USBP-15 MKII (which we also use for various cine setups at slashCAM and which has proven itself well here) should serve as the basis for Vocas. We are already looking forward to the first rigging setups with the Burano.

Wooden Camera
The most comprehensive accessories for the Sony Burano are currently available from Wooden Camera.
Wooden Camera is expanding its Elite accessory system for the Sony Burano. In addition to Side Rails. Base and Topplate, there is also the Wooden Camera D-Box known from other cameras, which serves as a power distributor and remote start/stop. What we find particularly exciting about the Wooden Camera Elite System for the Sony Burano is the EVF Accessory System, which allows the Sony monitor/EVF to be positioned in many other places on the cage.

Zacuto
As with Vocas, Zacuto&s in-house universal baseplate (VCT PRO) is likely to be the base of Zacutos Sony Burano rigging options.
The most exciting Burano accessory at Zacuto is clearly the Burano Z-Finder, which turns the Sony Burano EVF into a similar solution to the FX9, where the viewfinder magnifier can be folded upwards when not in use.
