Sony FX3 gets Netflix certification

Netflix has given Sony&s full-frame FX3 camera the coveted Netflix Approved Camera certification. This makes the FX3 the twelfth Sony camera to enter the list of cameras certified for Netflix 4K productions. Netflix recommends recording with the FX3 in XAVC S-I (All-I) UltraHD 4K (3,840 x 2,160) 10bit 4:2:2 format at a bit rate of 600Mbps at 60fps or 300 Mbits/s at 30p or 240 Mbps at 24p in the new in Cine EI mode just added by firmware update 2.0 (see below). Netflix also precisely specifies the other recording parameters in its corresponding Camera Guide.
