Blackmagic has quietly released version 1.3 of its professional free Camera App for iPhone, which brings some interesting new features. From now on, audio monitoring of recordings using connected headphones is supported, and different focus points can be defined using the Rack Focus function for controlled focus shifting. Blackmagic Camera App With the update, the 48-mm camera of the iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro is finally also supported, and the latency of video output feeds via HDMI has been reduced, which can now pleasingly also display names, roles, scenes, and takes during recording - handy when using an external control monitor (though the "HDMI Clean Feed" option can still be selected to output just the video stream if desired.
