SmallRig already had USB-C rechargeable batteries for various camera types in its range, in addition to smaller battery versions with 2400mAh and larger ones. Now a new version of the large USB-C equipped NP-F970 batteries with a capacity of 10500mAh (76.65Wh) has been released.

They should be able to be fully charged faster than before, namely in 3.5 hours via USB-C (36W fast charging function), a special battery charger is no longer required. In turn, they can supply power not only via the regular battery interface, but also via USB-C and USB-A. This means that a battery can also be used to operate accessories or charge a cell phone in parallel, similar to a power bank.
An integrated display now shows the charging status, either continuously during charging, automatically for a few seconds when a device is connected, or otherwise at the touch of a button when prompted. If the charge level falls below 10% during operation, the display flashes.

The SmallRig NP-F970 USB-C Rechargeable Camera Batteries come in three colors and cost .99. They will be available from May 21.
