After several 19.x updates, Vegas Pro editing software is now making the leap to version 20. New additions include the ability to create local project archives, a file drop option for faster collaboration via the Vegas Hub store, and automatic file organization that should provide easy access to all projects and their media files.
The color correction section is further expanded with a white balance slider that can be used to adjust color temperature, as well as hue adjustment curves. Furthermore, VST3 support is new for audio editing, allowing VST3 plug-ins to be applied for reverbs, delays, EQs and more (though this functionality is still in beta).
In our opinion, many of the other new features were already part of the previous updates to the 19 version, albeit some of them in beta, for example the Speech-to-Text functionality with automatic generation of subtitles (only for 365 subscribers), support for file formats such as Apple ProRes (not RAW) and Blackmagic RAW, Optical-Flow Motion for the creation of smooth slow motion and fluid Warp-Flow motion with seamless resampling.
Magix Vegas Pro 20 is available as a subscription ("365", prices depending on payment method) and as a permanent license (249 euros / 399 euros including additional software), optionally also as an extended Vegas Post version.
