The AI video generator Pika can now also be used with an updated model 2.0 - the support of so-called “Scene Ingredients” is a brand new addition. According to Pika, an unlimited number of image templates can be specified, including figures, objects, clothing, environments and the like. Paired with a prompt that describes the desired scene, this provides the basis from which the video AI starts; the system supposedly recognizes independently which role the specifications should play in each case. There is no information on the generated clip length, apparently it remains at 5 seconds as with Pika 1.5. It is unclear whether an audio track is currently also generated in the latest model. However, Pika 2.0 will not be made available to all subscribers, only Pro and Fancy users will have access to the new model. Generating with Pika 2.0 is also significantly more expensive than before, at least 50 credits per clip are due (15 credits for 1.0/1.5); if Scene Ingredients are used, it is even 100 credits.
