Microsoft has released a beta version of the video provided Compression Manager (VCM) for Windows for Windows Media 9 to download. He ermglicht it, the Windows Media 9 codec in AVI files einzusetzten - were previously be stored with the Windows Media 9 codec compressed video only as ASF or WMV files. This beta version has been tested under Microsoft Windows XP with VirtualDub and Adobe Premiere 6.5.
