With the Zoom H1 Zoom had introduced a cost-effective and compact 24-bit recorder, which with its integrated X/Y stereo microphone is suitable for fast, uncomplicated audio recordings. Now Zoom introduces the new H1n, which has been completely revised.
The most important innovations include the new layout with more switches on the top, the new central potentiometer, the new microphone capsules for the integrated X/Y condenser microphones, the new voice emphasize filter, playback speed control, A-B repeat, and the new stereo bounce functions for overdubbing.
For video applications, the new test and slate-sound generators for synchronization in the post should be of particular interest.
Like its predecessor, the Zoom H1n takes MP3 (max. 320 kbps) or WAV files (max. 96 kHz at 24 bit) and has a max. recording time of 10 hours with its 2 AAA batteries. Recorded on microSD/microSDHC cards (class 4 or higher, max. 32 GB).
In addition, the Zoom H1n is equipped with a high-resolution LCD display, an internal limiter to allow distortion-free recording of up to 120 dB SPL, and a mini jack input for external microphones including plug-in power (2.5 volts) for external condenser microphones.
The new Zoom H1n will be available from January 2018 for an EIA of 119, - Euro.
