Originally, the well-known festival for moving image communication spotlight was supposed to take place on March 19 and 20 in Stuttgart, but the event on site had to be cancelled - like so many others - due to the corona virus. Nevertheless, the spotlight festival will take place again in 2020 - just a virtual one now. Both the meeting of the expert jury and the audience vote will be moved to the internet. This ensures that the coveted spotlight awards will be presented.
The spotlight Festival is an international competition for German-language (advertising) spots that compete in the categories TV & Cinema, Trailer/Teaser/Trenner, Web & Mobile, Social Influence, Animation, Digital Campaign and Digital Innovation.
In the spotlight PROFESSIONALS competition for professionals, the spots are judged by a jury of experts from the fields of creation and design, teaching and research, marketing and advertising - in a separate second section, the audience has the opportunity to judge spots. A separate section ("spotlight Students") is reserved for young talent, whose works are judged separately by a jury of experts and the public.
There will also be a digital solution for the spotlight FORUM lecture series with top-class speakers. The festival team is currently working flat out on the implementation. In addition, spotlight plans to make up for the media education programme spotlight DURCHBLICK 2.0 and the spotlight AWARD GALA later this year.
All spots in the audience role can be viewed, enjoyed and evaluated at www.spotlight-festival.de. The spots will be online from Tuesday, 17 March 2020 at 10:00 a.m. until Friday, 20 March 2020 at 10:00 p.m. Every user can vote for his favourite spots on the net.
