Frage von Claudia:Hello Together,
I am now reading through all the forums, but I can not find an answer, or I do not understand the answers lack expertise. My own attempts have failed, now I need help.
I have TV card with a movie included. He's now the extension mpg and is 6.3 GB in size, after I joined the two established auto parts (4.1 GB and 2.2 GB). I wanted to fit it to burn with Nero and the target size to 4.7 GB, that did not work.
Then I tried it with DivX to DVD to convert, then ordered the extension VOB and 9.3 GB was great. I read in a forum that Shrink can shrink it again, that was not synonymous. Shrink does not take that.
Last night I had, again according to a notice in a forum with Xmpg it tries to convert into an AVI, 19.8 GB and now the movie I'm s.end has. There is widening rather than narrowing.
I am totally confused synonymous with the terms encode: transcode, capture demux, etc. I do not know, is known as the process that I need.
Question: How do I get 6.3 GB * mpg converted so that I can burn it to DVD? What Programs do I need?
I work with XP home. SP2 and have Cyberlink Home Cinema software.
For help, I would be very grateful
Claudia

Shrinking already requires a little knowledge and skill.
But perhaps it is not necessary to shrink the file to be: There is dual-layer DVDs, which are DVDs with two layers. Means that you can upload up to burn 9.4 GB data on it.
The question is, if your burner can? Most writers of the last half to three quarters of the year can do that ..

Thanks for your answer.
Unfortunately, my burner can not do that. The idea is maturing, not to me whether I should buy a new burner. Is there being no way to shrink this thing?
Meanwhile, I've made any nonsense here, it occurred to me. With a horror result. Now, the thing fits on a normal DVD, but the sound is now postponed.
With MovieShrink2 I could create 10 avi files that are now some 2.7 GB in size. I have burned with Nero as a DVD and now it is 3.9 GB. Wunderbar! A lot of work, but it fit. I just played the DVD, now the sound no longer matches the picture.
And again I am at a loss ......

The shrinkage) goes only by reducing the data rate (= bit rate, but this means a lower picture quality synonymous.
Download them to download TMPGEnc (14 days available for free, but in English) http://www.pegasys-inc.com/de/download/index.html. So you can add your original) and just re-transcode *. mpg with a lower data rate encoding (=. Use the Wizard (a menu that guides you through the process).
When you first open you close the wizard. Then click on Options and choose Environmental Settings and then the flag-General. Make a hook s.Enable multiplex with "mux "..., else comes out afterwards, a separate video - and an audio stream.
Click OK. Now, you again open your Wizard (File and then Project Wizard). Follow the instructions, select PAL DVD. This is set of house on a 4.7 GB DVD that the program itself selects the correct bit rate.
