Frage von aljever:Hello,
I was here a minute AVI (DivX) file of about 61 that I would like to grab onto
a CD to play it on a Stehallein.
What is qulitativ better, VCD (MPEG1, 352x288, 1150 kb / s) or SVCD (MPEG2, 480x576, max. 2600 kb / s)?
When an SVCD the bit rate would be for the film at around 1400 kb / s. In
Stefan Uhrich"Do you want to bring more than 45 minutes of video on a CD, so I recommend an alternative as the VCD format. It allows you to save 74 minutes of film - but in a worse resolution."
At another point format (CD-and DVD-"), he writes that 35-70 minutes in SVCD format would fit on a CD.
And synonymous here on Slashcam (Glassar -> SVCD), the term is a SVCD with 35 - 80 (!) Min given.
This helps me all the little next. What looks better now, ultimately, 1h movie as a VCD or SVCD on a CD?
And generally s.welcher bit rate or the cases in which one is preferable to a VCD SVCD?
Thanks for the help

Antwort von Stefan:
In my experiments, then 41-43 minutes SVCD (TV documentaries were even) more bearable. Were then luckily the blank DVDs cheaper ...
The pudding is in the eating. Just do a test with 5 min source material - once again VCD and SVCD 1400 kbit / s.
Good luck
