Frage von Frederick:Hello,
I recorded with my SonyDigital8-camera in the 16:9 format. I thought my Sony-camera just as sets of two black stripes on the picture so that it is actually a 4:3-format. But thought it wrong! My Sony-camera actually takes up in the 16:9 format. If I want to dub it, but with Avid on my calculator, then the whole thing in 4:3-format shows, thus distorting the picture looks. So my question is what you can do about it. Where you can adjust at Avid that is recorded in the 16:9 format?
Antwort von Max 100:
Hi Frederick,
Avid? Avid yes what? Should either be Avid Liquid 7, the answer is simple. See the manual page for 1-14, Chapter 1
Introduction, default format. Normally here at the start of the program always PAL 4:3 set. That you have to change to 16:9. Then it will work synonymous with Avid Liquid 7th
Good luck

Hi,
Liquid not know specifically, but in the rest of the Avid family is described as my predecessor did in the General Settings or right mouse button select the Composer window and 16:9. Then one should also note that the signal when it is issued so again, it plays only in synonymous example, on a 16:9 TV if this option has a 16:9 synonymous. Otherwise, just the picture in the Avid compress at 4:3 settings!

where the final product is DVD, then you can safely create a 16:9 DVD. Which is reproduced on a 4:3 synonymous with no-Television 16:9 option in the correct aspect ratio.
Reason: A DVD player knows the format of the connected TV and know what to do if the DVD movie has a different format. This is one of the DVD player menu received by the first operation. ;-)
