So, the following:
On my MacPro, I have a HD on a Vista partition, and with Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 (Production Premium) my HDV files (on another HD) editing.
By the time I was irritated by the constant rebooting, in order of Vista to OSX and vice versa to switch. By standing my PC with 3GHz dual-core and 3GRAM (XP SP3), so virtually unemployed. I simply put the HD with the HDV clips Appro projects and unemployed in my PC via SATA cable, so I like the HD on a MacPro system and the programs, and on another HD, the HDV clips with the projects have saved .
Strangely, I now find that the performance has suffered greatly. In other words: Do I have a HDV or DV File of the 2.HD played incessantly jerky. I have the same files on the system HD rüberkopiert and played, everything ran buttery smooth.
Why is that ?????? Both HD's are SATA cable?

At 'm MacPro, I have noticed no significant losses.
Have HDTune with both on my PC hard disks checked, the system disk with the PROGIS run with a rate of approximately 60MB/sek, these 2nd With the HD clips, etc. with 3.5 MB / sec.
Where is the bottle neck ????? Is it perhaps my motherboard?
The HD in any case seems to be okay ....

Did you test synonymous times made on the Mac? If there are both the same speed, it is not the jumper dongle.
If the disk does not generally have a slower, it may be that the driver is not the right or the disk has a shot at rebuilding wegbekommen ....
