Infoseite // 4-pin mini XLR to SonyDC-in cable

Frage von High_Tension:

Hello,
ich hab ne Bzgl a matter of connecting my CoCo V-Mount, which in turn depends s.meiner EX3 towards the PHU-60 hard disk recorder. If I understood correctly, would have a 4-pin XLR male to this DV - In his times.
The question now is: is there a name for such a cable (I find nothing in Google with my cryptic Suchbergriffen) and where there's something to buy?

Or am I wrong wound and the two do not work together?

Thanks for the help!
Regards
Max

I do not know what cable you mean ...
But, go look at electronics retailer in your vicinity, which has mostly all the times, and the fun you solder together yourself.
Finished cable usually cost 50 ¬ and more.

Well ... this is not a 4pol-XLR ... in the other thread went to 4pol Hirose.

Oops - but as far as I know, four pole XLR synonymous but used only to power - is not it? Probably why I did it other times s.den remembers ...

It is old :-)

Hi, I am already almost no longer remembers s.den thread;)
Thanks for the replies so far. When I look at the picture in the other thread so look to me of times but very familiar. May well be that the times that I think are times Hirose.

And if I had not been so lazy, and would like nachgeschaut times, I would have here So I probably need a cable of 4-pin Hirose to SonyDC In.
One never learns from;)

I hope this is big enough.
Thanks for the help, many greetings

Hi Max :-)

This looks to me like a perfectly normal Hohlstecker from. The can be very easy to be designed. Only because there are many different sizes synonymous, which is very similar view.

I would recommend you, your HDD with just into an electronics shop to take, and then you are looking for along with the seller the time out, the bum. The Hohlstecker really should not be expensive. Not more than 1-2 euros.

For the other cable end you have to stop you then arrange those 4 pin Hirose. Gibts at Conrad Electronics by mail order, or synonymous with various other component shippers (Farnell, Digikey, ...).
Here is the link to Conrad: http://www.conrad.de/goto.php?artikel=749358

And then you need's the only thing left to solder together with his short piece of cable. Advanced Lötkenntnisse would be of advantage here ;-)

Hirose Occupation: Pin1 = ground; Pin4 = + DC
Occupancy (polarity) Hohlstecker: Best with multimeters measure power s.nem. Or guggn whether the assignment is not printed anywhere. Most of the "outside" = mass; "inside" = + DC.

It should be noted would be the fact that your battery holder s.Hirose the bare Li-Ion battery voltage (14.4V) is applied. Since it is still necessary to determine whether your HDD with this tension runs.

The DC-IN is 12V in this case with a so-called Sony laptop Male. An ordinary Hohlstecker fits in any case not - is not synonymous with violence. We have recently purchased what at Digikey - can the order if necessary look. Otherwise do it pretty much every notebook adapter for Sonyand Fujitsu-Siemens, provided that the maximum voltage is 16V.

At times, the Digikey part number CP-014-ND (pen inside 1.7mm, 4.75mm ferrule): http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=CP-014-ND

Ah ... prima ... I knew the exact dimensions for the Sony Hohlstecker.

Conrad asked him synonymous:

Just would like to emphasize that I am actually not a fan of Conrad electronics bin. Is synonymous almost always more expensive than elsewhere. But in many other component shippers get halt nix without license. Conrad returns quickly and easily synonymous s.Normalsterbliche.

Antwort von High_Tension:

Wow, thanks for the many tips!
A license is not a problem. But I think that I must ask NEN electrician or look like that I get cable in bebop. I think if I was beginning to cause me to solder in the best case, only a short circuit;)

Does this mean that I PHU with the V-Mount Battery can operate? Or another way: what do I care if I go to the electrician and the say that he will tinker together?

Sorry I've missed the correct times would be CP-026-ND with 4.75 mm outer diameter, but there's not synonymous with Digikey - am curious to see whether you can find at Conrad.

I understand that now. The times that you had mentioned previously but had synonymous OD 4.75.
Where can I look for something (so what times with what is used as dimension)? Ich geb probably because the wrong search terms to Google ...

Take the original power supply, a caliper and miss after. The above-mentioned shape fits absolutely not - because I have quite missed. We have another application in our company so similar times, but with 5mm diameter cores ordered - the fit according to my measurement definitely not. The aforementioned DC-IN-times, as it looks, a very special Sony design, not even with the notebook from the same manufacturer are identical / compatible.

Antwort von Markus_Krippner:

If you use the Sony ominous times absolutely find nowhere, then I recommend you just a dirty trick:

1. Cut out the Sony-times including matching cable length of your original power supply from.

2. Solder the 4pol Hirose Male s.das cut cable piece.

3. Concerns you have an additional 4pol Hirose cable coupling. The solder then you s.das open cable end of your power supply.

Then you have almost nothing to break:
You then s.das short piece of wire "Hirose4pol-Male to Male Sony ominous" for your initial project.
And if you b) the HDD but then times with power want to plug you 4pol the Hirose-Male to Hirose 4pol-clutch, you s.das cut end of the original power supply, soldered searched.

The additional 4pol Hirose cable clutch unfortunately there was not at Conrad :-(
