Hi,
I'm just gathering agencies of 600EUR PCs for video editing. The system is reasonably quiet perform his duties.
What I'll have put together:
* Power Supply: Corsair VX 450W (60 EUR)
* Case: Lian Li PC-A05A (80 EUR)
* Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS4, P35 (110 EUR)
* Processor: Core2Duo 2.67 GHz CPU (130 EUR)
* Processor-fan: Arctic Cooling Alpine 7 Pro (20 EUR)
* RAM: 4 x Kingston HyperX DIMM 1GB DDR2-1066 (70 EUR)
* Graphics card: ASUS EN7300GT SILENT/HTD/256M, GeForce 7300 GT (40 EUR)
* Hard drive: Hitachi Deskstar P7K500 500GB 16MB SATA II (50 EUR)
* DVD Burners: LG Electronics GH22LS30 SATA (30 EUR)
* WLAN: D-Link Wireless N DWA-547, 300Mbps (MIMO), PCI (30 EUR)
Can anyone give a hint? Is this a good combination? What would you do differently?

PS: On the system will be installed on Mac OS X, Final Cut Pro to use them. This is the EFI-X USB module. And so I'm somewhat limited in the choice of components:
* Only Intel CPUs
* Only certain Gigabyte Motherboards
* Only certain graphics cards, or almost only NVIDIA

On Empfehlenswert Estonians would, of course Raid 1 with 2 of the smallest plates that are for OS and 4 x500er in Raid 0 +1 as data association, labor, and fuse panel. However, your system was already with a single disk for system, data, editing, and backup drive designed, therefore prefer to 1GB Ram and Buy 2 plates same as Raid 0 (if the ICH9-R RAID is supported by the Mac ...)
Moreover, it would not I buy Hitachi plates. But because I'm currently in its hardware vendor was where many of IBM defective s.Platten series extradite. Deskstar 20-60GB ... zb Seagate seems to be generally a constant power deliver ...
Otherwise're fairly limited. But with its fast data disk are already in good ;-) - Vorrausgesetzt there are no problems with compatibility of the hardware (BIOS update CPU due to a lack of support or something)

That is why I now prefer a setup with a quad-core CPU into consideration. At least it should be useful to use two plates, so that one of the one on the other can play.

Deskstar 20-60GB ... I know - keyword "Death Star". I have always had good experience with Hitachi, in the laptop area.

How you want OS X to install?
As far as I am informed that only runs on Apple (Apple certified hardware). In addition you will be synonymous but drivers have problems or not?

But I would rather take a stronger processor. Unfortunately ght from your Lioste not indicate exactly what you chose. Take the minimum e8400 (or higher)
Oh yes, and a better graphics card. Minimize the Nvidia 8000 series.
And onBoard sound is almost always very bad. A fortiori, etc. if you want nachvertonen. Then need a decent sound interface.
