Frage von MacSeller:hallo its professionals,
I have two weeks before the Canon HF10 increased.
Now I try to work with CS4, but jerky in the preview box so that no liquid play of the clip is possible.
even when playing the mts file with vlc player, hack it.
what can only lie, 2.4 GHz + 2 GB RAM + GeForce 8600M GT should meet or for AVCHD?
or is it because of the lame 5400 platte?
I think it is a FireWire 800 hard drive to get there and of directly from the mts file edit?
technical data:
OS: Mac OS X 10.5.6
Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Hi,
I have a macbook pro 2.2 GHz and 4gb ram. when I try the Canon HF100 clips in Premiere Pro CS4 play in the pro res encoded are synonymous, I see only bucking. the same clip in Final Cut Pro runs without problems. with the native AVCHD format, it is not because this format too computationally intensive for a laptop is.
but the performance of final cut is quite impressive in comparison to pp!

Windows-based is the use with AVCHD but much more pleasant then.
You could XP / Vista on the install and MacoBook Sony Vegas / Movie Studio 9 PE or Edius NEO use. Your Book is fast enough.
I myself have a laptop with Intel P8600 (C2D 2.4 GHz), 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD, 9600M GT with Vista and edit my AVCHD footage with Edius NEO and the Canopus HQ codec.
The performance is quite ok. However, the book does not s.die performance of my system ran Quad (Q6600 @ 3GHz, 4GB RAM, 1.5 TB HDD, ...).
The transcoding into the intermediate codec requires only 0.75 times the original duration.
I would rather you as a Windows Quadsystem guess as time and Money with your Mac "verbraten"!
The Quad will take you for the video editing and the Mac for everything else.

I have sony vegas pro 8 to lie on the cover is not for sale (as a retailer of gift received), since it is determined to demonstrate that lack determines the AVCHD codec

Edius NEO is synonymous as a demo. With Boot Camp you could be so synonymous Windows on the MacBook use. Vista without activation for 30 days.
