Frage von Ramsi:Hi,
dubbing from analog Hi8 camcorder on ADVC110 into the PC the following happens:
1st trial camcorder connection -> ADVC110 with
S-Video: Picture OK but
no sound. 2nd attempt connection camcorder -> ADVC110 with composite (white, yellow, red): Picture and sound perfect.
The ADVC110 is completely new.
The S-Video cable Hama Of Gold Connection, 1.5 m.
Even with another S-Video cables are the same: No sound, picture OK.
I do not want to believe that it lies at the ADVC110 and hope for a "trivial" errors ...
Unfortunately, I can the S-video output of your camcorder does not test for this source of error 100% excluded.
Ever thought someone made this experience?
Greeting
Ramsi
Antwort von mhuber:
S-Video will only Picture (instead of the Yellow Composite)
for the Sound's the black and red RCA cables
Antwort von thos-berlin:
The S-Video port is so named wei he transmits video. If it is synonymous the sound would transfer, he would be audio-or S-video and so would have more deulich Connections.
for the Sound's the black and red RCA cables
... and must be synonymous with the S-Video use too.
So:
S-video for the Picture
RCA black and white for left audio
RCA red for right audio
Antwort von Ramsi:
Thank you. That's true of course.
Had S-video connection so far never been used and have simply assumed they ersteze the function of the three RCA Male.
Once again, thank you.
