Frage von frm:Hi folks,
I have the following questions.
What is the ideal setting of Ramvorschau.
I have a Qudcore with 4 GB Ram and AE CS4. My Ramvorschau in XP 32bit are exactly 8sec in full resolution (half ca 12 sec).
In Vista 64bit s.gleichen system is about 11 sec in full resolution.
Obviously, there have been what to do and how much I Effect levels I use but I think 11 Sec is niucht very much.
How should I use the default settings do?
Thank you very much

How should I use the default settings do? You might want to have more to ask why I use a 64 bit OS and then put only 4 G RAM da rein?
The only tip is: go shopping, then the RAM preview longer synonymous.

Ok so I do in the Grundeinstelluingen nothing wrong. How much Ram can AE in 64 bit so the address? Or what should or can I buy?
Antwort von Jörg:
8G are minimum, open end ....
then go to Preferences, then you would then correspond
RAM.
Do not forget to smile when you are using AE ....

Addressing it one way or the only maximum of 4GB, but yes you are now not available, because your operating system and all Programs and Drivers loaded them yet what abknapsen. For maximum utilization für'n are in PAL widescreen composition at 100% about 22 seconds to be expected. More is simply not true. Why, he can only address 4 GB?
I have Vista Business 64 and thus can be as far as I know up to 128 GB of addressing. In the Home version sees it differently.

Hi folks,
I use a quad with 16GB RAM and Vista 64bit.
It is true that AE a 32-bit application and therefore is max. 4GB Ram can manage. It works on Vista 64-bit still more than 4 GB of RAM to use.
If you have the AE multiprocessing enabled, we see through the Task Manager found that a total of 5 instances of AE open. An instance of the main body seems to be the other 4 will each be assigned a core and can be (!) 4 GB Ram address.
The rendering is great, I can see in the resource management of Vista then:
AE 1x Main Body (about 2GB Ram usage)
4 x AE instances (yes 3-3,5 GB Ram usage per instance)
4 x 1 each core to 100% utilization
That means my machine is at rendering (FullHD 50fps, H.264) after a short time on all 4 cores maxiaml busy and almost full 16GB of RAM will verbraten AE. Is really fast!
graphics card I have not quite normal.
Hope this helps,

What about in "Edit Settings or so (far below)
to go and decide whether the slider more toward "quick render" or towards "long-RAM preview" pulls
