Frage von xpfeind:So I must now first a little steam.
I have a Pannasonic in Nov SD5 increased, which records in AVCHD format. So far, I have my AVCHD movies with Pinnacle Studio 11.0 editing. Schneckentempo was slow, but it worked. I could then cut the film as a mini-blue ray burn. In such a normal DVD fit about 30 minutes of HD movie in a good quality. This DVD, I could easily be on a blue ray player (Playstation) play. On the PC I could film with Power DVD chart (synonymous in HD format). Now the PC verreckt and I have purchased a Mac. Now everything is best.
Now I have iMAC 2.8. With iMovie 08 and FCE. iMovie works. But how do I cut my HD movie? Mini Blue ray gibts not in AVCHD zurückkodieren not possible! So, film editing in FCE, back on the PC, and Pinnacle anwerfen a mini blue ray burn. That it can not, or? Am I alone with this problem? There is a reasonable forum for AVCHD editing with the MAC? I'd like to go there a few opinions.
Nevertheless, I would never again my MAC one. Apart of some Niggeler in AVCHD editing, I am very satisfied.

Well, maybe you have with the change on the wrong horse? I know people who have extra because of your question on Windows solutions are converted to their mini blu-ray discs to burn, as you call it.
But that should not be a pointless discussion Mac against PC against XY will - I hope you have as quickly as possible a reasonable solution. Actually, I thought that synonymous for the Mac such solutions already exist?
Antwort von xpfeind:
Well, yes there are solutions that are just so that I cut every movie in Pinnacle import, use the menus and a mini blue ray burn. I am just not quite clear why I win in my mac goes for mac os shareware no solution exists.

Good, a real solution shareware you can find under XP synonymous not - these tools are all free of charge, but some - like the aforementioned studio solution - are relatively inexpensive.

Or do not get Toast to 'nem Blu-ray disc players going out? WoWu recommends a Einbau_Laufwerk for BD, the thread starter but has an iMac ( "compact unit"), can therefore not do anything with it. He also speaks of a "mini blu ray," he burned with the PC has. I know this with toast and regular DVD discs is possible, although I do not have Playstation, so I can not synonymous say what settings you make toast, so that they run. It has, however, and here the wrong thread starter, not with the original format (HDV or AVCHD) to do, but with the output format after the editing, the course on a Mac in a QT format takes place. H.264 is compatible with PS3.

I think the above link synonymous interesting. The real problem with the question's not, however, is probably how a BlueRay could be burned, but like a video in a BlueRay compatible format could be, so that on a normal DVD as a sort of mini-BlueRay manufacture. So less of a hardware question about the firing, but rather a software issue regarding encodings.

Marco Just as it is. 60 minutes film in Dolby 5.1 with AVCHD takes about 6GB, so wonderfully fits on a DL-DVD Blue Ray in the mini format (With Pinnacle Studio 11.0 easily possible). With Final Cut and Apple Intermediate Codec, 100! GB, to burn blue ray is possible (with toast).
I can not play the movie zurückcodieren, since there are no coders I know are the the AVCHD zurückkodiert after this and then to a DVD with blue-ray structure of output (I hope the problem is clear, or).
But I believe a solution is found to have:

So as I see Toast 9.0 will soon get out, maybe that goes with it. What do you think?

In fact, I had understood that it comes to burning the disc goes. Otherwise we have that with the H264-komp no problems, but the use of Apple Compressor, which is part vo Final Cut Pro.
On toast, I would not necessarily be abandoned, because it actually contains no encoder ....
