Frage von Robin Koch:Oh and where I am a grad mal hier:
Recently came here the question of whether one VCD files can burn to DVD
(and the DVD player reads this).
That would interest me synonymous times:
Can I play video files to the (S) VCD Satndard (weitstgehend)
* really * correspond to grab a DVD and watch?
Or are there other methods by more than 2 hours on a DVD to get?

MPEG1, any DVD player to understand. I did it with a
VCD MPEG-tested and my Sony335 it has played.

Depends on the specific player or recorder from. Just mark reading equipment
sometimes not "naked" MPEG files of DVD-ROM (seen in some
Pioneer and Panasonic).

Common burn DVD recorder (with poor quality) up to 8 hours on a
4.7-GB disc. As a compatible DVD-video in mind. Picture in MPEG-2,
Sound in DD 2.0. Which minimum the DVD standard for data calls
I have not found.
If you have more (or better quality) want to take DivX or the like.
The most recent game player (provided you test beach
the subtle limitations of the specific device).

Supplement: However, a compatible DVD-Video quite synonymous
MPEG-1-containing video, with parameters such as VCD. One might therefore
a DVD-video files with such authors, without the video
recode.

Addendum: the file was not just on the blank
written, but it was a real DVD, which is
MPEG1 video format.

So with Pinnacle Studio, I have 156 minutes on a normal
DVD disc is burned. The program then compresses more autonomous,
including of course the quality suffers. When the starting material had
that's not really visible impact.

"Proper DVD" is probably "DVD Video" and not "DVD-ROM" (although
latter is certainly not "wrong" is :-)).
Then should any standard DVD player, provided the
Authoring program has worked correctly.

With a small but subtle difference. VCD is in audio to 44kHz
mastered in DVD in 48kHz. If so 100% standard
remain, we must at Reauthoring VCD>> DVD audio track re -
Encode.
See synonymous:
http://www.videohelp.com/vcd
http://www.videohelp.com/dvd
For a VCD
PAL
Video:
1150 kbit / sec MPEG-1
352 x 288 pixels
25 frames / second
Audio:
44100 Hz
224 kbit / sec MPEG-1 Layer2
... knits you a DVD with
PAL
Video:
352 x 288 pixels MPEG1 (Same s.the VCD Standard)
25 frames / second
Audio:
48000 Hz
32 - 1536 kbps
Up to 8 audio tracks containing Dolby Digital, DTS, PCM (uncompressed
audio), MPEG-1 Layer2. One audio track must have MPEG-1, DD or PCM
Audio.
... s.kompatibelsten by video and audio of VCD demuxt, the
Video Part is unchanged, the audio stream of 44kHz after 48kHz
remastered re-encoded and then DVD-compatible author can.
Ok, the China Group Kracher now be back with the
Statement today Blödmarktware synonymous with 44kHz on DVD comes clear.
Woe to the however, if such a DVD for the first time in a
-343 Pioneer DV or Dv-444 wants to play until today for me
Synonym for "playing exclusively 100% correct geauthorte DVD
starting. "

On DVD: Yes. We apply the same restrictions as for bitrate
Use of MPEG2 video. The whole Mux (audio, video) may therefore
10:08 Mbps never exceed. MPEG1 VBR is synonymous permitted in
Contrast to VCR, MPEG1 CBR only where permitted.
