A friend has a Sony camcorder HDR-SR7E with HDMI output and the notebook is Qosmio G40
which unfortunately has no HDMI input, I know not whether it is synonymous notebook ever gives with this connection,
the notebook has only Firewire (IEEE1394), AV-in (Composite/S- Video / Line-in), Video-in (S-Video)
Now my question there is an HDMI adapter from one of the notebook of anschüssen, so no loss of quality there.
or should I in AV-Out - AV-in work. although the quality leaves.

HDV cameras are on the Firewire connection with a computer connected and then dubbed. AVCHD cameras are connected via USB and then copied the files.
