Hello,
inspired s.einen other thread of me for recording of 5.1-Sound:
5.1 Which files can be open because in Encore? Only
AC3? I can audition with a 5.1
wma file to export. But what do I enable it to next?
I can not from Premiere 5.1-sound export, because I lack the expensive plug. Can
I audition as synonymous AC3 to 5.1 export? or do you have another idea? Evt. another editing program that I could use a short time, only a 5.1 file export ... or can I convert wma to AC3?
I hope you can help me or have ideas!

Is there a freeware program to wav to ac3 decoding? No, such a program does not exist. But not because it would not freeware, the WAV to AC3 could convert, but because the decoding of the reverse path. * * Klugscheißer ;-)
My first steps with AC3 sound (Dolby Digital 2.0), I have done with BeSweet. Is not that comfortable (well, is probably relatively) but at least you can with one of the many tools to convert WAV to AC3.
