Frage von Mr_Burns:Hello.
I currently create a promotional DVD, in some submenus under "further information" several ppt files are to be implemented.
I get the following
error when I make a PPT file as a slide show or want to import asset:
"The software to decode the media is not available ... Try to fix the problem by selecting the correct decoders for the files to install." Is it about principle, not possible with ENCORE 2.0 -> Powerpoint presentations to be implemented? So for example, as
1. Slide show in Encore or
2. by clicking in the menu -> external opening of Microsoft Powerpoint If yes, how do I or is there any decoder / plugin with which this is possible?
Thank you ..

No, this is not possible.
This is, however s.der fact that Powerpoint and DVD are two different things.
I commend you, the individual slides to export as TIFF and Encore in them so a slideshow. Alternatively you can with a screen capture program abfilmen and the presentation of a video into the timeline set.
[edit:] One in the menu and click Open in Powerpoint is so obviously not well supported, or how exactly do you want to work on a standalone DVD player to implement. DVD-Video is just a technology, but regardless of software and operating systems running.

Hi and first of all thank you for the quick AW ..
The DVD is not synonymous for stand-alone DVD player, but - as said - a promo DVD products which will be presented and more information about the products (sheets, etc..) As a PPT or PDF should be available.
This info can I do under "Disc - DVDROM content" to add, but I would need from the DVD menu ne link there. How this works, I just do not stop ..
Ne ideas?
Ciao .. Mr_Burns

Hi ..
So now I go through the detour "images into tif format. So I can at least install PPT slides and life / define transitions. Although huge effort, but otherwise seems not to be possible.
One thing is even more important if someone sometime similar plans: - Microsoft PPT stores in the films as a tif, but with significant loss of quality. Better yet, the PPT's in ADOBE PDF format to convert and afterwards
as to save as tif. About the way is not discernible loss of quality. If still someone relating to climate change (text files per plugin / decoder mount) I would be grateful.
Thank you s.alle which have broken the head ..

I would need from the DVD menu ne link there. How this works, I just do not stop .. Does not. As I said, DVD-Video is designed to run on standalone. You must then create a menu in which you say, how and where you stored on the DVD, the presentation file.

PS And yes, with the InterActual Player, which you will find some older DVDs are DVD-ROM content to integrate, but unfortunately (as I say, thank God) there is no acquirable authoring solution.
