Frage von Uwe:Because now synonymous with video 64-bit programs in the start are - Vegas, Edius ..... Others will follow - of course, one wonders: What is really the advantage of a 64-bit program on a 64bit system vs.. a 32-bit program on a 32bit system? The higher addressable memory is so clear.
But you can now synonymous to apply the simple formula => 64-bit programs are twice as fast as 32-bit Programs? What other benefits could have - of course, synonymous specifically in video editing?

33 bit would be twice as fast as 32 bit ... when one would expect of speed;)
at 32 bits can address 4 GB of RAM, at 33 bit 8 GB, at 34 bit 16 GB, etc. etc.
So the main advantage is the storage connectivity ...
If much of the program fits into the Ram, it is synonymous at a faster pace ...
