Infoseite // After Effects CS3 Render RAM too short

Frage von film3macher:

I have until recently worked with AE 6.5, since there were no problems with the rendering of RAM. I was more than 10 seconds of video RAM and render them to me in peace anschauen. In CS3 this does not work anymore. I can barely 3 seconds to render RAM, AE car then stops and plays the clip, as if he was ready to render. The work area is big enough of course chosen. When I put the maximum RAM cache of 60% to 90% raufsetze, perhaps I can render one seconds longer, but then the system is synonymous total capacity. CS3 swallows so much more RAM than 6.5, so I can only render 3 seconds? Although it would be very strange, because I'm with my 2 GB of RAM with 32 bit systems / programs already almost s.der ceiling. If I now of 2 GB to 4 GB upgrade, can I then just 6 seconds to render? Something that is not true.

My system:
Intel Core 2 Duo (2.2 GHz)
2 GB RAM
160 GB HDD

AE settings:
Maximum memory using 120% = 2 GB
Maximum RAM cache 60% = 1.2 GB
Maximum Disk Cache: 2000 MB (up to 8000 MB've set up, does not improve)
Multi-core to (from s.oder brings no change)
From OpenGL (from s.oder brings no change)

Someone ne idea?

Yes, unfortunately. CS3 swallows fast times 800 MB, 6.5 were only something for the 250th Since then possibly come shared Adobe components, Core Media and the whole Schmotter, with depending on what source material you are working.

Huh? Quark. You confuse effectively Programs available RAM with kernel Memory & Co. If you are duplicating the RAM, so you load your Winbugs not synonymous suddenly twice or run AE twice ... Can you calculate non-linear, but it is probably more to 9-12 seconds or even longer run. Other times just cool to think over it.

OpenGL? Eats no RAM, running on the graphics card.

Multiprocessing? Nich with 2GB RAM. Pro core / process you'll need at least 1 GB, which in your case you do not have.

Disk cache? Yes what do now? Disk or RAM? RAM = Less former swapping to disk, more RAM = less or never outsource to disc.

In addition, it's still on the nature of the effects and the project structure. If AE is of the opinion that the frames faster in RAM can calculate (a few effects, simple animations, no changes), use the disc anyway, especially not when stinknormalen 8bpc DV / HDV projects. As had already been in 16 or 32bpc working order because a difference can be seen.

Otherwise, simply let the paws of the memory settings - your system is simply not enough steam to really what is appropriate. No matter what you set the truth will always be different and the AI turns, as it takes. That would exceed auf'nem hammer properly with 64bit system RAM which bring ...

Then I probably do not come around, 4 GB RAM upgrade.
I took half a year before his extra new hardware purchased for HDV material to be cut. For the cut, it is synonymous, but for AE I probably need more RAM.
Thank you for your quick reply.
