Hello,
it runs like any normal audio editor.
If you have increased by function "clip-strengthening" the level at eg 3 dB and have him going again sometime in the original condition, then you'll have him back (lowered by 3 dB return to zero). Then again the dynamics processor is running over it.
It is slightly different in the Effect Controls Window "Volume> Level."
Since you can simply bypass the hook or put off the effect - then you also back the original.
The two functions and volume level of audio gain so will work independently and do not affect each other. Then you must watch on it.

Hello,
now think I understand what you mean. You speak of normalization.
If you would like to have the original state again, then you'll have the value that was used for normalization (available as a dB value when fitted) with one Cons character and then do not press OK (press normalization!).
This path is not customary. Normally, we normalized all the clips in a track to bring it up to a uniform level, and then controls the track volume using audio mixer.
