Frage von crazy-spy:Servus,
I am currently facing a problem ...
I have looked at the positive reviews the Zoom H4 audio recorder and bought a new microphone. Have to just under 0dB gepegelt and language tests. Result: Excellent, really nice sound, very good quality. But so far, I assumed that 0dB synonymous 0dB are ... I play directly from the attention that the sound, even at 0dB gepegelt, much quieter than Music. Using editing program, I then look at a track and a piece of music to another recording made my test and checked using audio tool: Both, according to the Peek gepegelt perfect, but unfortunately the language is much quieter than Music ... I guess look coarse, that her sense of a difference of about 12dB is available, so really extreme.
Why is that?
Is there no preference, I like the H4 s.die 0dB come? Have there for 3 Turn the sensitivity, with Gain named therein.
Who can help me?
Thank you very much!
Antwort von clipaward:
Level it's not all laymen's terms and it's music but a bit bulky
Antwort von bArtMan:
Music is with Compressor / Limiter heavily processed, with the perceived loudness is increased (the loudest wins). Either you bring the voice with the same resources at this level or you rule the music down and the voice komprimierst moderate.
Antwort von crazy-spy:
Music is clear and voluminous draws on a larger Dynamics. But another voice synonymous file ala Hörspiel is much louder at 0dB.
Antwort von crazy-spy:
... okay, which is then inflated to synonymous I suppose ... So it is normal as it seems, just wanted to make sure that this is not broken, etc. is because I am in the sound being very little familiar ...
thank you very much!

Hello Basti
depending on whether you have the balanced (XLR) or asymmetric (TRS) input is used, the attenuation is already different. In the manual on Page 87 you will find the exact dates.
That could still be with a cause.
The menu will ultimately only a Feinregelung instead of the preset value.
