Hello!
I have recently, a SonyHDR-HC3, and use this with Pinnacle Studio 9.3 pros. My computer is a standard HP Pavilion, XP SP 2
When dubbing of digital video recordings in the DV format, there are no problems with the Picture. However, the sound is distorted - "sounds like something from the tin." I made one for Comparison Recording with Windows Movie Maker. Picture and sound were there all right! I've done this in order to exclude that there is a problem with the Windows drivers. I suspect that the problem is with Pinnacle.
Has anyone experience with SonyHDR-HC3, and Pinnacle? Bring back the new version of Pinnacle workaround? Thank you and many greetings

I could solve the problem yourself, as I have proceeded as follows:
1. I bought the current version of Pinnacle 10.5 (patch and 10.6) or the patch of the Pinnacle web page downloaded (Warning, the patch is almost 100 MB in size!) So I could upgrade to HD; synonymous, I had hoped that if Pinnacle 9.3, the cause of my audio problem was, they could be solved by an upgrade
2. Before I started with the installation, I had set a restore point through the operating system (for the case that the installation does not work and I was back to the old state)
3. I deleted the old version 9.3 Pinnacle completely synonymous, and to the Registry-Cleaner Programs, which can be downloaded from Pinnacle's website, used (this is actually useful, for I have seen, that Pinnacle is not 10.5 could be completely installed, so MS SQL Server was not installed)
4. Then I downloaded the latest graphics and audio drivers for my HP Pavilion t880.ch of the HP ServicePage
5. Installation of the HP Drivers
6. Installation of Pinnacle 10.5
7. Installing the patch Pinnacle 10.6
8. Reboot
9. Pinnacle for the first time booting up, it takes a while.
10. It is important that you pay attention, that really in the video setting "recording devices" at Pinnacle, the Sony Camera is selected (this is important eg for people who have a webcam connected synonymous s.ihrem computer. It may be that Pinnacle, priorisert the webcam, even if it is not connected)
