But that would be quite the usual way. You were in a normal position, the fingers of the right hand of himself quite s.Fokusring on the zoom rocker and the left hand - that is basically the same as in professional shoulder cameras that have absolutely no AF. Just practice a bit, then there should be no problem to coordinate, zoom and manual focus. Just as it is only briefly to complement is: The advantage that the optics in the manual focus is just and only briefly on AF when you press on push-AF. So you have a safe and fast focusing when you need it, and without even looking to the sharpness.
