I've been recently Avid Liquid 7 increased (8 weeks) and am, after the initial difficulties very well so far clearly come. After the work through the manual is now synonymous rather quickly when cut.
Well, I have a strange problem with me synonymous Google or search the forum could not help. Therefore this question here:
I'm trying to formulate something.
Following scenario:
All the media files I mentioned in the Project Browser for my current project had been imported into the timeline processed (approx. 30 min).
For this project included more video data on which I saved another drive and I was now needed. (These have the same video formats such as that which I had already processed.)
After I have this video in the Project Browser and had imported the automatic scene detection for meta-data used and had individual clips (Subclips) was created, there was the following result.
Suddenly, the video I imported had been cut on the timeline.
And precisely in the various sections as I had previously created before the new video, I had imported.
However, the music data, articles, voice-overs and transitions just as before, only the video in conjunction with the accompanying soundtrack was suddenly a new one and although I had previously imported.
However, I had it until then did not, at least not consciously, on the timeline or is otherwise withdrawn irgentwie touched!
After a long manual to read, intuitive menu and search out some angry and wanted to herklicken no change can happen.
I thought it wrong s.eine linkage or peers.
After 4-5 hours and a coffee break zwischdurch (otherwise I have the screen from the window was missed) I come back s.den PC and see what caught my eye: The Project was again as before.
Somewhere I must have made a click it back into the original state has.
Well, how could something happen? What have I done wrong?

If suddenly "wrong" videos in the timeline appear, is usually a problem when capturing names. The band then assigned name (Reel) must be clear and unique. Otherwise, the contents of reel in a previous capturing through a new "replaces" (Time Dependent Code).
The liquid media management is used to, but is very stable (you'll remember after a crash) - It is usually not lost. One should not only try, by Windows Explorer in the management herumzupfuschen. One should also not synonymous "Optimizer", since many of those 0-byte files are deleted, but the Liquid absolutely need.
If by an unexperienced click again everything is there, then I am, however, synonymous überfragt.

I did your approach to naming times to check and could not really a "name" can be found.
The files I was still with Pinnacle Studio 9 plus and are recorded as *. avi before.
I have the files according to your designated recording period, ie "15.08.2007-20.09.2007.avi".
Maybe Avid problems with this type of file, but there are very many points and a hyphen.
I do not trust me now, however, no longer the "source" files to rename. Probably they would Avid will no longer find.
If I however look at the MEDIA tab, I had the media file of the video two times in the Media directory.
Yesterday evening, I have another avi file imported. Then a clip and made it to the timeline envisaged. Suddenly, the sound of the video with a song completely deposited.
Only when I deleted the video again and was imported to the original sound back.
While I try the manual and do everything, I think in any case, as it stands, but it remains strange for me anyway.
Perhaps I jemamd the procedure for importing describe the idea more than I?
