Oh yes, I am moderately Avid Absolute Beginners. Cut and Shoot, I do for about 5 years quite intensively. Cut with Magix Video Deluxe.

The book is well written and understandable, if you have it, you can do the most essential things synonymous yourself.
Since you have so experience with Magix, would you like to do it. What you lack is the information where the tools are hidden in AL.

With Avid Liquid, a reference - Manual in PDF format with installed. It may be, if you want to print. But it's very extensive. Also an excellent Help function is integrated. I personally would give me a training also save money. You get pretty good at some point after the function body. Many things you need but (almost) never. Some companies offer training synonymous with the purchase of a complete system as an encore ( "free") to. Then you can join them some day. Of the professionals, you can cut synonymous over the handling of the software also much to learn.

I have the Reference Manual synonymous, for the entry is in my view not so good. It will stop only functions declared dry. If you have a basic knowledge, it is very good, but quite bad for beginners struckturiert.
