Hi,
anyone here knows why DVCPRO HD material (p2, HPX 171) in avid editing (s.3.1, qt, 7.6), but can not as a quicktime reference is playable (white picture) and therefore not synonymous in s.cs3 comfortably further can be?
Is it possible to s.einer new variant quicktime, or s.einem missing DVCPRO HD codec for quicktime?
Another question, what are your experiences with 720/25pn vs. 1080i/25?
Turn in three days will have a spot and need urgently to know in advance how the workflow postproduktion s.besten steer is ....

You seem a little impatient to be the question of dates but it was not until this morning ...
At issue: This I know because I have two years time a synonymous DVCProHD camera was tested and discarded. When coding was then synonymous white Picture. Since that is missing somewhere in the chain of codec. Newer Avid (after 2.66) but it should be resolved, although I do not even know if the codec in Avid or squeeze missing. Otherwise you can easily circumnavigate but by shooting a video mixdown machst. The time I always, and separately after PAL resolution (50 Mb / s) and HD-resolution (120 Mbit / s), because the coding is a significant quality gain.

Have tried it immediately:
Had videomixdown when selecting between dnxhd (120) again and DVCPRO HD.
've done both.
Then everything (both original and Mixdown) with and without DV100 as referece exports and 400 percent in s.auf made so that the pixel looks good;)
Result:
DVCPRO HD is synonymous after Mixdown not recognized ....
what was already predicted.
beyond that, everything looks absolutely "identical" to no preference whether DNX without DV100, DV100 DNX with DVCPRO or with DV100 (before and after Mixdown).
Videomixdown brings nothing here ....
and presumably is also with DV100 as container for dvcrpo (so I imagine that before) the material in the best possible qualiät synonymous in s.verfügbar ...
I admit now trying to further. this leads to nothing.

I admit now trying to further. this leads to nothing. You could take the Quicktime Reference synonymous a full Quicktime movie 1080 times in 1920 to export, which is quite synonymous nimble and should work. That is now my preferred interchange format, when I give other people the material.
