Hello.
I have a problem with my AVID system (Avid Xpress Pro 4.5 on Windows XP System, Sempron 2400 +).
I grudged me a new graphics card (ATI Radeon 9600) Pro Advantage, previously ran a GeForce 2 * anything *.
Now I can no longer start AVID. Dialog box appears:
"NVIDIA display driver files from different (incompatible) versions of the driver have also been detected.
NVIDIA OpenGL acceleration is disabled in order to maintain system stability.
... "
Obviously
with AVID does not want the graphics card, or the old ATI card obviously is no longer around and bleating now ...
Anyone know how I can fix this problem? Or there's only ne
New Installation of Avid ...

So I'm synonymous ATI ne ... something. So basically there should be no problems. Have insalliert the new drivers of GraKa? Perhaps there's what AVID wants to own ...
Or are you looking for me, whether hiding somewhere old GeForce drivers, then uninstall the same.
Under certain circumstances there really only helps ne reinstallation of Avid.

You lay right:
It was probably because the NVIDIA drivers are not 100% de-installed
were. The freeware tool "NVIDIA File Remover" helps excellent. :-)
AVID so it runs again, just as properly `s yet will not.
Are constantly Access Violation error messages FatalErrorReports
etc etc.
I hope that helps a clean install ...

In principle, only AVID USER settings and my projects (which, if
I am not in AVID folder but on the cutting boards are)? Possibly even the AVID ATTIC-folder.
Or do I have something else to observe?

Hello,
if the Avid Project, User and ATTC folder to another folder / plate are, you need to secure anything. Only if Avid will start after the new installation for the first time, you must refer to the plate on which are the User folder.
