I think the question is already answered: Avid (at least Xpress Pro and Media Composer - probably the Programs, which is tantamount to) use a hardware dongle. Thus you can of course on different PCs, but only if the hardware dongle in USB port and is thus expected that for you probably already have done. Serial number, there's obviously synonymous, but the benefit you nothing.
Therefore synonymous my Tip: Save and buy the original (if you already want to work) or looking for cheaper alternatives. If you have never worked with Avid, you look here already mentioned, free Avid Free version (which is no dongle ;-)). Avid has in some ways a very different user philosophy than most other editing programs and even if you have with something else is cut, which often leads to frustration and continues for some time ahead of relearning.
Otherwise, even the mention of the Academic versions: if you're still a student (at least, one could guess), then you're entitled to purchase Academic versions. Because Xpress Pro will cost something around 250 Euro and is identical with the commercial version, except that they are not commercial use is allowed (ie You can not earn money in order).
250 euros can be synonymous, I think as a student up, or you can be the gift.

I have a small complement to view: There are people who use cracked programs because they can not afford, for example. 1000 ¬ for Photoshop or greater. If so then they have learned and earn money and can afford it, these are often loyal customers.
Is synonymous ne 'point of view you can take. But if you earned money so, you should really buy this stuff ... (and if man can afford it anyway, except above)

No need to copy ... Small correction: It was the somewhat angetagte version 5.01 of XPress. After all, it is update-able, but then again it cost a few Euros :-)
