Hello,
I use Avid Express Pro (DV) - the differences, I can not tell you to call.
What I know is that this variant does not require additional hardware, AVID, your applications mentioned and comply with the non-plug-ins, etc.
As input a 1394 Firewire interface (analog inputs is therefore not available).
A TV you can (with appropriate controlling graphics card) synonymous. the "toggle-mode", the signal is directly played out even with Rendered Effects in play mode via the firewire output, and you can do that with an appropriate transducer signal synonymous in this way on a TV set (if necessary to see tracks heading directly to a TV to can).

Small tip: ebay U.S. and indeed specifically
here. An older version of Xpress Pro DV (1.xx - 3.xx, but beware: a version with dongle, for example, Xpress DV 4.6 is a version without a dongle - which is expensive), namely, for $ 495 can upgrade to a current Xpress Pro HD And at current dollar course that is sometimes significantly cheaper than buying the full version (the program is indeed) quite expensive. Just make buying Academic version - which may not actually be sold and that I would before doing very well.
Another thing about the versions:
Xpress Pro has been a good choice for DV as synonymous for HD. There are synonymous s.June one closest alternative: the Media Composer as software only (so far, the MC was always bound s.eine hardware). This would have still more opportunities (Timewarp Effects for example), which has been with Xpress not. Unfortunately, the whole is pretty pricy, and whether it will be a lucrative offer upgrade of Xpress Pro, has not been officially announced.
