When I now read through countless forums and no workable solution was found, do I make myself take a thread.
Annoys me the following problem: When I start Avid and open a project, I find a wild geblinke countless windows! In addition, the icons in the upper bar represent umpteen times! It acts a bit as Avid would try to maximize all the windows, again to minimize, and then could not decide what it should show!
I have already searched the Hotfix KB824141 to delete it, have it but can not find, synonymous erase all the other hotfixes, unfortunately, has not helped ...
Now I do not know more next ...

Windows HOTFIX

The above hotfixes cause problems and should only be installed if this in the future versions in the release notes is allowed.
The uninstall works under Control Panel> Software> Hotfixxxxxx - Windows then there may be a warning, because there is no uninstall, but a rollback is performed (Note: applications that were installed in between will also be uninstalled). For me this has helped FreeDV starts now with no problems.
