Frage von Fred Neumann:Hello,
There is actually a function at Avid, with one video - and audio files to Avid for a Project aktuulles no longer benörigt, delete it? It is so often the case that it effects and can render entire sequences. Then yes Avid created for itself a new audio - and video file. But if you then for example, make changes s.einer sequence and then render again, so Avid has immrr synonymous nor rendered the old version. And it is precisely such files will I have deleted.

alternatively you can log times for the keyword "consolidate" clever make. so you can properly clean up quite synonymous.

alternatively you can log times for the keyword "consolidate" clever make. so you can properly clean up quite synonymous. It should be a general way of working habit, when you finished projects to a different partition or on a removable hard drive and then consolidate the other partition is formatted. Otherwise you have problems at some point. The best way to do depending on disk capacity a certain number of partitions, for me it's eight, and although with the letters R, S, T, U, V, W, X and Y. Then you have a laminated table and can then slide with a water soluble pen raufschreiben each, which project on which partition. If you have a finished project after off somewhere outsource, wipe it off the record. When all entries are weggewischt, you know that this partition can be formatted.
So, I made ten years, now comes a new Avid and in which I will do so again synonymous.

Thanks for the tips. BUT: What's the name for the function in the Media Tool, with which I delete all the files can be rendered?

Do you know the tool Media Mover? http://www.randomvideo.com/
Without the part, I would like AVID s.keinem more work!

What exactly can this be anything else does not? And I'm not sure whether the latest version, there is shown synonymous for the Media Composer software with Mojo Box is suitable, which is still on the Meridien hardware.

You can delete all media files of a selected project to collect together. We have many projects simultaneously and can not every project on a separate partition. Consequently, the mix-OMF files sooner or later. Also, they may not all on one partition (if the space is no longer enough times).
By Media Mover can easily collect all relevant data and a backup move or delete.
Sure, this is synonymous of hand in which one for each Project an extra folder and creates the OMFIs always out and herverschiebt. But if you forget something ..... That's very convenient!

This can, unfortunately, I'm going to say not synonymous. I still have an old Meridien bowl:)

I do this so far with partitions and folders. And s.Schluss a project after the project off somewhere else consolidated. Seems to me not so very important to listen to, but I will keep an eye on. Thanks for the hint.

Thank you very much. That really helped.
Another question (and for another topic):
The folder "Avid Projects" contains all Project saves? If I use this folder so safe and example in my Project accidentally delete a sequence, I could secure with the Avid Projects folder to restore it?
Antwort von nina0408:
Hello s.Alle,
there is a trick how to erase all the effects that you no longer need and those reserves, which in the current sequence is needed:
1. Only Bin open, where the current sequence is A, whose effects we wish to keep, all others close.
2. Media Tool to open and just let the show Precomputes
3. Sequence highlighting and menu> Clip (or Bin, seated grad not afraid ...)> Select Media Relatives: all currently in the sequence needed Precomputes be displayed in the Media Tool
4. Reverse Selection
5. Delete
... and then the old one and all gone but still those who wanted to retain one, rendered in the sequence - super, or?
