Frage von Uwe15:Hello,
has anyone of you been able to gain experience with the operation of Batteries in the operation of third-party vendors in JVC Everio MG20-50? These original JVC Batteries have indeed now an information chip that displays the remaining capacity. The name of the Batteries (BN-707, 714 etc) has apparently not changed from the information without Batteries chip.
I just got A Fremdakku (BN-VF714 Compatible, 1800 mAh), which I purchased through ebay to receive. When you turn the camera, an error message "battery connection error", because you can not synonymous wegdrückn. The Batteries can be loaded into the camera.
While praising some synonymous ebay Battery Dealers who have these MG20-50 models included in your "Compatibility List" with, but I doubt whether these or synonymous Batteries work also shows a connection error.
I actually have no desire to spend 99 euros for a 1400 mAh battery Moose, the price is really too high ..
Best regards
Uwe

Hello Uwe,
Sonyist in the data exchange between Battery and camcorder (-> Info-Lithium already) a long time the rule. I myself have such a Noname-Battery (with Info-chip) in use and am very happy with it. The function of my Sony camcorder is restricted in any way.
On this subject, you'll find numerous posts with the search function and the Suchbefriff "Noname". - Do not despair if the first posts only the sentence "... and the search Suchbefriff" Noname "..." . include The question of low-cost replacement battery is often made here. ;-)
However, if JVC has been with, I can not promise you. Clearly, the issue still there, take a chip from scratch?

Hi Mark,
yes, I believe that this JVC is on a new topic. In all Noname offers no info is mentioned chip. It probably needs a little time.
I have now "reluctantly" ordered a 700 mAh Original Battery for 40 Euro + shipping. When I consider that I have for my Canon digital cameras partially pay for larger capacity only 3.50 euros, this is too annoying.
Thanks for the reply. Perhaps someone still knows a source for cheap JVC Batteries Noname with information chip.
