Hi folks,
So my grandfather has bought a camcorder and I, as a "dear grandson," now have the unpleasant task of the videos on DVD to bring.
And it is a dsa JVC GZ-HD7 with FullHD Recording. Now I have after converting with Nero Showtime (in order to keep the quality with the preset for FHD 1080i) converted to normal MPEG 2nd Then in Pinnacle Studio Ultimate with a DVD menu is created. However, there is the output quality on the DVD REALLY bad! (Although I already "highly chosen" because it is only 20 min. Were video)
I have already (been out of me) in front of a now busy with After Effects. Here are the videos allerdinns synonymous not to import. By default, the camera saves the videos as *. tod with MPEG2 codec.
Now my question. What do I properly edit the videos and how can I achieve good quality? (if I have a proper look at DVD, for example, a real movie, then that is correct but good quality. I have as a starting material FullHD1920 ... so why is my DVD bad?)
Which program is good burn quality on DVD?
(Would be nice if there was where I would not attend training, like in the good Adobe products or AVID Liquid) ...

That is probably your problem - is not a native editing program. Um's in capturing m2t / HDV plain and corresponding conversion will help but you do not come. *. Otherwise your workflow sounds just shit. Before, back and forward again - too many programs, too many intermediate steps where what can go wrong. In plain English you should simply look at a reasonable conversion program (TMPEG, ProCoder LE) and a real DVD authoring tool (Encore, DVDLab) zuzulegen. So grandpa times wonder whether Santa Claus or at least 200 euros in the bag has.
These craft solutions with Nero and Pinnacle Studio are you in any case not bring with you and because HDV / HD material work, did you at least Encopre the chance to even times' ne BlueRay disc to specify for your Playstation (or your best buddies ) to burn ...

Encore is just Athoring or DVD? Yeah, I Encore because with better quality than with other programs? Because ProCoder is not the death .. the habshc tried!
So to edit Encroe should I take? Hab thought until now that is just for Athoring udn not edit the actual .... the opi wants synonymous few crossings udn son persuasive inside .... so I have started with Pinnacle .... da gehts s.schnellsten ...
as I said I'm azubi udn did not have as much time as the opi .... and I am a little bit more interested with After Effects ...

Hendrik Yes, of course, is Encore's only for authoring. But since it was synonymous as both H.264 MPEG-II makes deien conversion would be at least somewhat eindämmbar orgies. As I said, what your weird *. tod format, I do not know. Either it is an uncompressed capture format or a self-MPEG II / MPEG-4 format which no other program. Jedn in case it is außerhalp of Pinnacle ZTools seem completely useless.
