Frage von schwenkerfilm:Hello!
I cut with Media Studio 7.0
If I add my project in the reconversion mpeg2 to burn on dvd too, is indeed the default bitrate to 2000. Is there something like a ceiling, or should I screw it up, as I have on DVD space?
Thank you,
Volker

Hello Volker,
Usually, a data rate of 8 Mbit / s should not be exceeded on the DVD. Are technically qualified to act 10Mbit / s but this limit should not be ausreitzen.
If you have a lot of material (about 60min), then could recommend a 2-pass VBR encoding. Otherwise, you come with a simple encoding for The 6-7 Mbit / s from.

In addition to the speeches of Rob, I would try a bit rate to 7000 (test clip) and then GUCKEN if I had something to complain about.
A bit rate of 2000 for the DVD is very questionable. This sounds more like to SVCD. Even good encoder at a bit rate of 2000 creating a bad picture more. The quality of software in my view are only enough to satisfactory.
Here I am of DV footage from a starting material.
The ausreizen the max. Bit rate is directly related with your use.
For compatibility with almost all DVD players you should 8000 / s does not exceed kbit.
If you are the only DVDs on your players want to look you can walk up to the ceiling, but then just goes synonymous less screen time on the disc, ie (possibly multiple DVDs whom it does not bother DJ) to play.

Nightfly.
